Boston Antiquities Exhibition thru April 29Don't Miss it!!FRAGMENTS OF TIME and ARS LIBRI, the leading international art reference bookseller, have teamed up for a special month-long exhibition entitled "Art of the Ancient World" to be held April 1 - 29, 2000.
The exhibition, which is open free to the public, is being held at Ars Libri's Boston bookshop and office located at 560 Harrison Avenue, third floor. Ars Libri is just minutes from downtown Boston and is easily accessible from Route 93. Ars Libri is open weekdays from 9:00am - 5:00 pm, Staurdays from 11:00am - 6:00pm, and closed Sundays.
"We are proud to have teamed up with one of the world's top reference book dealers for this event," said John Ambrose, Director of Fragments of Time. "This limited-time exhibition means that a visit to Ars Libri -- from anywhere in New England -- is well worth the trip because one can simultaneously browse a great selection of ancient art objects and a wide array of books about the ancient world."
The exhibition features a diverse selection of ancient artifacts with prices starting at $185. The objects range from an Egyptian soapstone magical stele (2nd-1st BC) depicting Horus standing atop a crocodile, to a large Roman redware flask (1st-2nd AD), formerly in the Cesnola Collection. All objects in the exhibition are available for immediate sale.
