Attractive Miniature Glass Pitcher

Circa 1st-2nd Century AD   

Description:  Elegantly shaped glass juglet in miniature with wide sloped shoulder that gently curves into the tapered body set atop a concave ring foot created by applying a separate trail of glass.   A small ribbon handle extends from the shoulder to midway up the narrow concave neck which is topped by a flared rolled-over lip.  Nearly colorless glass with hints of yellow and patches of white iridescence. Very sweet and attractively priced.

Height:  2.1 in. (5.5 cm) 

Condition:  Intact except one handle missing. 

Provenance:  Formerly a German property.
