Catalogue XX Now Available

Fragments of Time is pleased to announce availability of its latest catalogue, Art from the Ancient World XX.

The full-color catalogue consists of a selection of more than 50 exquisite investment-grade antiquities representing many of the most important ancient civilizations of the Mediterranean.

Every object is illustrated in color and fully documented. In addition, every object is provenanced.

Highlights from the catalogue include:

- An extremely rare Minoan beak-spouted pottery vessel (circa 1400-1300 BC) painted with strong decorative ochre bands. Minoan pottery is very rarely available on the market.

- A fine bronze Luristan cheekpiece (circa 700-600 BC) from a horse bit in the form of a proud horned bull, previously in a private NY collector who acquired it in 1957 from the NY dealer JJ Klejman.

- A superb standing bronze figure of the rare Egyptian deity Mnevis (circa 664-525 BC)

- Stunningly detailed carved steatite figure of the mother goddess Isis holding Horus on her lap (circa 664-242 BC) in exceptional condition

- A rare Bronze Hathor cow in a recumbent position (circa 3rd-1st BC)

- Wonderfully modelled terracotta Etruscan cinery urn lid decorated with the portrait of a reclining nobleman (circa 3rd-2nd BC)

- Pair of sweet terracotta Eros figures each playing a lyre, each with much polychrome color remaining (circa 2nd BC)

- Superb Roman redware drinking cup from the famous pottery factories at La Graufesenque in souther Gaul (circa 75-125 AD)

As is our standard practice, all objects are offered at the published price on a first-come, first-served basis.
