Highlights from the Mail Bid Sale Catalogue

Fragments of Time thanks all who participated in the mail bid sale of the Diniacopoulos Collection. Bidding was very strong with more than 85% of the lots sold in the main sale (Lots #1-79) and 82% overall.

More than 100 lots were individually described and illustrated in our full-color catalogue documenting the collection. The catalogue reflected the passion both Mr and Mrs. Diniacopoulos held for Egypt, their one-time home, with a vast majority of the objects related to the ancient dynasties or later cultures that ruled the Nile delta.

Highlights of the Mail Bid Sale included:

- Variety of early Egyptian stone vessels

- Two Old Kingdom limestone heads

- Middle Kingdom standing bronze figure

- Large lot of clay molds for faience amulets

- Bronze head of a cat, Late to Ptolemaic Period

- Limestone baboon, Late to Ptolemaic Period
