Book on Celtic Coins Now Online

John Hooker, a prolific author and expert of Celtic coinage, has begun posting on the web the chapters of his art-historical analysis of Coriosolite coins.

The full text of Hooker's exhaustive study of the coins of these ancient Celts, over ten years in the making, uses the development of the art as the major theme.

The on-line version will start with the Catalogue, and gradually include all of the chapters of this ground-breaking work. The first two chapters are: (I) a general introduction; and (II) an analysis of the hoards within the numismatic, archaeological, historical and geographical contexts.
