Fine, Large Near Eastern Bronze Age SpearheadCirca 2nd - 1st Millennium BC
Description: Large Bronze Age spearhead with leaf-shaped blade and prominent midrib. Rounded shoulders taper into a round section at the base decorated with three raised crested ridges terminating in a socket from which a square-in-section tang projects with squared hook at the end. Height: 14.1 in. (35.5 cm) Condition: Intact as shown. Tip of spearhead bent in antiquity. Smooth green patina Provenance: Formerly in a private Ohio collection.
