Set of Three Silver Surgical Tools
Circa 3rd-4th Century AD
Description:
Set of three silvered surgical instruments consisting of: a): a ligula with long thin handle worked to a dull point on one end and a small scoop opposite; b): a probe with one pointed end and small rounded scoop intentionally finished to a slight angle; and c): a scalpel or spatula worked at one end with a long flat blade and the other with a smaller angular curved blade or scoop. An exceptionally fine set that clearly belonged together in antiquity.

Condition:
All intact and fine.
