Large Bronze Age Sword BladeCirca 1200-800 BC
Description: Fine large Bronze Age sword blade with a sharply pointed blade that flares into squared shoulders. Two rivets remain at the base on either side of the blade. A prominent midrib is evident over the length of the blade. Typical of the type, the organic hilt is now missing due to the effects of time. FOT Inv: 202.0017. Height: 15 in. (38.5 cm) Condition: Intact as shown. Smooth gray-green patina. Provenance: Formerly the property of a Midwestern private collector who specialized in Bronze Age weapons, acquired between 1960s-80s. Price: $1,100.
