Massive Find of Roman Military Objects in Croatia River

An archaeological team from the University of Bimingham, UK, has made a remarkable discovery in a riverbed in Croatia.

A wide variety of Roman military objects, including 90 swords, a Roman legionnaire's dagger and sheath, more than 30 helmets and numerous other metal objects has been uncovered in the River Cetina.

The archaeologist leading the project called the find a once in a lifetime discovery.  In addition to Roman finds, the area around the site is yielding evidence of Neolithic or early Bronze are settlements.
