Fine Lapis Lazuli Amulet of Maat
Circa 25th Dynasty - Late Period, 747-332 BC
Description: Fine amulet in blue lapis lazuli depicting Maat in transparent robe striding forward arms at her sides. On integral base.
Height: 0.9 in. (2.3 cm)
Condition: Intact except for missing Maat feather (and suspension loop) from top of her head.
Provenance: Private New England collection of an Egyptian lady who emigrated to the US in 1956.
